Here's a sonnet I've composed and I would like your opinion on it; thank you very much, I really appreciate it!
Light was sailing by on the golden sky
And I remarked casually to the beams,
Saying, "Light, thou vanish quicker than dreams
And soar indefinitely further by
Than any creature on land, low or high."
"'T is true, I hasten by and am supreme."
"But ah," did I reply, "It only seems
That way -" and the light, how it wondered why!
I continued, "For darkness is always
One step further along than thou art, light."
How this fact burdened the light--I could see.
So I encouraged, "Continue all days,
Ever going on and dispelling night,
For in the end, in thine is victory."
